Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a leading insurance portfolio spanning Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) and Specialty Insurance lines. The ideal candidate will drive business and functional requirements, streamline operational processes, and support digital transformation initiatives across diverse insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across Specialty Insurance, Commercial Insurance, and potentially Crop Insurance lines.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Map current and future-state processes related to:
- Underwriting
- Claims Management
- Policy Administration
- Support digital transformation, automation, and AI-driven initiatives.
- Work closely with Agile teams to manage:
- User Stories
- Backlog Grooming
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Sprint Planning Activities
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Insurance Domain Expertise
- 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Commercial and/or Specialty Insurance.
- Strong understanding of the following insurance products:
Commercial Lines
- General Liability (GL)
- Commercial Property
- Commercial Auto
- Workers Compensation
- Umbrella Insurance
Specialty Lines
- Directors & Officers (D&O)
- Errors & Omissions (E&O)
- Cyber Liability
- Professional Liability
Business Analysis Skills
- Requirements gathering and documentation.
- Process mapping and business process improvement.
- Stakeholder management and communication.
- Gap analysis and solution assessment.
Technical & Methodology Skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with insurance platforms such as:
- Guidewire
- Duck Creek
- Similar Policy Administration Systems
- Exposure to digital transformation, automation, and AI-enabled business solutions.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Commercial P&C modernization initiatives.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or digital insurance transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Crop Insurance processes is a plus.
