Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer – Harness CI/CD Migration Factory

Location: Lebanon, NJ (4 Days Onsite)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Harness CI/CD, Jenkins migration, Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud-native DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will lead large-scale Jenkins-to-Harness migration initiatives using a factory-based delivery model while driving automation, standardization, governance, and operational excellence across enterprise CI/CD platforms.

The successful candidate will possess deep experience in AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline engineering, DevOps automation, cloud-native deployments, and migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Migration & Modernization

• Lead Jenkins to Harness CI/CD migration initiatives using repeatable migration factory methodologies.
• Perform Jenkins environment discovery, pipeline inventory, dependency mapping, shared library analysis, credential assessments, and plugin evaluations.
• Utilize Harness Jenkins Migrator to analyze, convert, and migrate Jenkins pipelines into Harness YAML pipelines.
• Refactor migrated pipelines into reusable enterprise-standard templates and modules.
• Support wave-based migration execution including Intake, Assessment, Conversion, Validation, Cutover, and Stabilization.

Harness Platform Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain Harness CI and CD pipelines.
• Configure Harness delegates, connectors, RBAC, approvals, governance policies, and pipeline templates.
• Build reusable Golden Pipeline Templates for enterprise-wide CI/CD standardization.
• Implement approval workflows, security gates, policy enforcement, and deployment governance controls.
• Manage pipeline versioning and template lifecycle management.

Cloud & Infrastructure Automation

• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Automate cloud provisioning and deployment processes across AWS environments.
• Implement scalable and secure AWS infrastructure solutions.
• Support cloud-native architectures leveraging EKS, ECS, and containerized workloads.
• Manage deployment automation for Kubernetes environments.

Kubernetes & Container Platform Support

• Deploy and manage applications on Amazon EKS and Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement Helm-based deployment strategies.
• Configure Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployment methodologies.
• Optimize container orchestration and deployment reliability.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes deployment and infrastructure issues.

Enterprise Integrations

• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and enterprise SCM platforms.
• Configure integrations with JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, Docker Registries, and Container Registries.
• Implement ServiceNow integrations for change management and release governance.
• Integrate secrets management platforms including HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, and CyberArk.

Security & Compliance

• Implement DevSecOps best practices across CI/CD workflows.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and security gates within pipelines.
• Enforce least-privilege access models and secure credential management.
• Support audit readiness through evidence collection and compliance reporting.

Validation, Cutover & Stabilization

• Execute parallel pipeline validation between Jenkins and Harness environments.
• Conduct artifact parity checks, test result comparisons, and migration readiness assessments.
• Support production cutovers and post-migration stabilization activities.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, pipeline errors, and integration issues.
• Develop operational runbooks and troubleshooting documentation.

Operational Excellence

• Build self-service CI/CD frameworks and reusable automation playbooks.
• Improve build performance, deployment reliability, and pipeline efficiency.
• Implement "Build Once, Deploy Everywhere" deployment methodologies.
• Support artifact promotion across multiple environments.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process optimization.

• Strong experience migrating Jenkins pipelines to modern CI/CD platforms.
• Extensive Terraform Infrastructure as Code expertise.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and EKS deployment experience.
• Experience implementing enterprise-scale DevSecOps solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• HashiCorp Terraform Certification.
• Harness Certified Professional.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise migration programs.
