Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Windchill PLM Technical Lead / Solution Architect with extensive expertise in PTC Windchill, Windchill Data Model, Windchill Customization, Java Development, SQL, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership capabilities and hands-on experience designing, implementing, customizing, and supporting enterprise-scale Windchill solutions.
This role requires deep knowledge of Windchill architecture, lifecycle management, workflow customization, database structures, ETL processes, migration activities, and enterprise integrations. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and customers to analyze requirements and deliver scalable PLM solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT industry experience with strong expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Extensive hands-on experience with PTC Windchill implementation, customization, and administration.
- Strong understanding of Windchill Data Model and Windchill Architecture.
- Experience leading technical development and implementation teams.
- Expertise in Windchill customization, GUI development, lifecycle customization, and workflow configuration.
- Strong Java/J2EE development experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and database development.
- Experience with ETL processes and migration activities.
- Knowledge of BOM Management, Release Management, Change Management, and CAD Integration.
- Experience with Windchill database architecture and table structures.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
- Ability to design and implement scalable Windchill solutions.
- Experience with enterprise software installation, configuration, and deployment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, customization, and deployment of PTC Windchill PLM solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and implement Windchill Data Model customizations and enhancements.
- Configure and customize Windchill workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and user interfaces.
- Lead Windchill implementation projects and provide technical leadership to development teams.
- Design and develop custom Java-based Windchill solutions and extensions.
- Develop and maintain Windchill integrations with enterprise systems and CAD platforms.
- Perform installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Windchill environments.
- Support BOM Management, Release Processes, Engineering Change Management, and Product Data Management activities.
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes for data migration and system integration.
- Create custom utilities and automation tools to support migration and data transformation activities.
- Lead migration initiatives from legacy PLM systems to Windchill.
- Perform database design, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Conduct code reviews, technical reviews, and solution validation activities.
- Collaborate with business users, architects, and project teams to define solution roadmaps.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide root cause analysis.
- Support quality management processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop technical documentation, architecture documents, and implementation guides.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to Windchill configuration, enhancements, and implementation methodologies.
- Stay current with Windchill product updates, industry trends, and PLM best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Medical Devices industry.
- Experience with ThingWorx development and integration.
- Windchill certifications or relevant PTC certifications.
- Prior consulting or client-facing implementation experience.
- Experience leading large-scale PLM transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
