Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise vulnerability management processes within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have deep experience integrating security tools, automating vulnerability workflows, and enabling risk-based remediation programs.

Only local Charlotte, NC candidates should be considered.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT / ServiceNow experience
• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module
• Experience designing and implementing vulnerability management workflows in enterprise environments
• Strong background in cybersecurity vulnerability management and remediation processes

Must Have Technical Skills

ServiceNow Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR)
  • ServiceNow platform configuration and administration
  • Workflow design and automation
  • ServiceNow integrations
  • Incident / Change / CMDB integration
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting and platform customization preferred

Vulnerability Management

Strong experience in:

• Enterprise vulnerability management lifecycle
• Vulnerability identification, triage, prioritization, and remediation tracking
• Risk-based vulnerability remediation workflows
• Security exception handling
• Vulnerability governance and reporting

Security Tool Integration

Experience integrating ServiceNow VR with security tools such as:

• Tenable
• Qualys
• Rapid7
• CrowdStrike
• Microsoft Defender
• Other vulnerability scanning / security monitoring platforms

Automation / Process Engineering

Experience with:

• Workflow automation
• Vulnerability orchestration
• Ticket lifecycle automation
• SLA management
• Remediation tracking automation
• Risk scoring and prioritization models

Security / Governance

Knowledge of:

• Cybersecurity vulnerability management frameworks
• Risk management processes
• Security remediation governance
• ITSM / ITOM alignment
• Security operations workflows

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow Vulnerability Response solutions
• Build and manage vulnerability intake, triage, prioritization, and remediation workflows
• Integrate ServiceNow with vulnerability scanners and security tools
• Enable automated vulnerability ticket creation, routing, and remediation tracking
• Configure risk-based prioritization and remediation workflows
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and operations teams
• Build dashboards, reports, and operational metrics for vulnerability management
• Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements
• Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize ServiceNow VR performance
• Support continuous process improvements and automation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow certifications preferred
• Cybersecurity / vulnerability management background strongly preferred
• Experience with enterprise ITSM implementations
• Knowledge of CMDB and asset relationships
