Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Netcool Developer with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps expertise to support a critical telecom client engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM Netcool Suite, Tivoli NOI, and AIOps implementations within telecom environments.
The candidate will be responsible for integrating traditional IBM Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) platforms with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps to enable intelligent event correlation, automation, and proactive incident management.
Mandatory Requirements
- Telecom industry experience is required
- Hands-on expertise with IBM Netcool, Tivoli NOI, and IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps
- Strong experience in event management, automation, and AI-driven IT operations
Key Responsibilities
Integration & Migration
- Integrate on-premises Netcool Omnibus and Netcool Impact environments with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps
- Migrate existing event filters, automation workflows, and operational policies
- Configure connectors and data synchronization between Netcool and Cloud Pak environments
Event & Data Management
- Manage bidirectional synchronization of alerts and events
- Configure event mapping, transformation, and normalization using JSONATA and related technologies
- Ensure consistency across event processing pipelines
Automation Development
- Develop automation policies and operational runbooks
- Build remediation scripts using Python, Bash, and Netcool Impact policies
- Implement automated incident detection and resolution mechanisms
AI/ML & AIOps Enablement
- Support machine learning model training with high-quality operational data
- Enable event grouping, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and change risk assessment
- Improve operational efficiency through AI-driven alert reduction
Topology & Infrastructure Visualization
- Utilize Cloud Pak resource management and topology capabilities
- Build application-centric infrastructure views to analyze dependencies and service impacts
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and Infrastructure teams
- Integrate third-party platforms such as Splunk, ServiceNow, Slack, and monitoring tools
- Provide operational support in hybrid cloud environments
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve integration and production issues across Netcool and AIOps platforms
- Perform root cause analysis for complex operational incidents
