Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer with Java and selenium
Location: Raleigh, NC (Local Candidates Only)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET with strong expertise in automation testing, API testing, and Java-based test frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks, executing API validations, and working in Agile environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
Automation Testing
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
Work with TestNG/JUnit frameworks for automation execution.
Design and enhance automation frameworks including:
Karate
POM (Page Object Model)
Hybrid Framework
BDD/Cucumber
Execute regression, functional, and integration test suites.
API Testing
Perform REST API testing and validation.
Validate JSON/XML responses and assertions.
Work with:
Postman
Swagger
RestAssured
Karate
Develop and execute API automation test scripts.
Programming
Write and maintain automation scripts using Java.
Support reusable automation utilities and framework components.
CI/CD & Tools
Work with:
Jenkins
Azure DevOps
Git
Maven/Gradle
Support automation execution within CI/CD pipelines.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Perform backend validation using SQL queries.
Track and manage defects using:
JIRA
Rally
Azure DevOps Boards
Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams.
Prepare clear testing documentation and reports.
