Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% Onsite)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative Agile Coach to play a key role in building and shaping a new Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) within the organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Agile transformation, hands-on team coaching, and enabling high-performing delivery teams in enterprise IT environments.
The Agile Coach will work directly with delivery teams, Product Owners, Scrum Leads, Engineers, and IT leadership to establish strong Agile practices, improve delivery execution, and help teams successfully transition into Agile ways of working. This role requires a hands-on coaching approach focused on delivery excellence, team dynamics, Agile maturity, and organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on Agile coaching by embedding directly with delivery teams and IT leaders.
- Facilitate and strengthen Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Coach teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Leads to improve Agile execution, delivery predictability, and team collaboration.
- Help teams maintain healthy backlogs, improve work visibility, and deliver consistent business value.
- Identify and remove delivery blockers, Agile anti-patterns, and execution challenges.
- Support Agile adoption initiatives including onboarding, launch, and stabilization phases.
- Reinforce consistent use of Agile tools, standards, and execution practices.
- Partner with the Agile Center of Excellence to improve Agile frameworks, standards, and enablement practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and Agile maturity across teams.
- Support organizational transformation toward scalable Agile delivery models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve execution alignment and delivery outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in:
- Agile Coaching
- Project Management
- Scrum Leadership
- Agile Transformation
- Strong experience managing or supporting large-scale enterprise IT projects.
- Experience working in Banking or Financial Services environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and enterprise delivery environments.
- Excellent facilitation, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- SAFe Certification or equivalent Agile certifications
