Job Title: Selenium Automation Engineer – Java
Location: Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL (Onsite)
Max Rate: $47/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Selenium Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based test automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both UI and API automation testing, along with solid database validation skills and CI/CD integration knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java
- Perform frontend (UI) automation testing for web applications
- Develop and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured / Karate
- Validate backend systems using JDBC/JPA with databases such as Oracle, DB2, and Snowflake
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and testing
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables
- Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA and Microfocus ALM
- Maintain version control using Git/Bitbucket
- Ensure adherence to testing standards, best practices, and quality processes
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java)
- Expertise in API automation testing using Rest Assured and/or Karate
- Experience with database testing using JDBC/JPA
- Proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
Preferred / Desirable Skills
- Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of test reporting tools and frameworks
- Strong debugging and analytical skil
