Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Science Engineer with deep expertise in Machine Learning, Generative AI, Python development, and vector database technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions with a strong focus on LLM-based applications, document AI pipelines, semantic search, and production-grade ML engineering.
This role requires hands-on experience across the complete ML lifecycle, including model training, evaluation, fine-tuning, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions using Python.
- Build end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, fine-tuning, and deployment.
- Develop LLM-powered applications and optimize prompt engineering strategies for enterprise use cases.
- Create document AI pipelines including OCR, extraction, parsing, normalization, and text chunking for structured and unstructured documents.
- Implement embedding generation pipelines for semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
- Design and optimize vector similarity search solutions using vector databases.
- Integrate ML models with Vector Databases and MongoDB platforms.
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, and production readiness of AI/ML applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native deployments, preferably in Azure environments.
- Monitor model performance and optimize AI systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 13+ years of overall IT experience with strong expertise in Data Science and AI/ML Engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python for Machine Learning and AI development.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI application development.
- Strong knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM optimization techniques.
- Experience with end-to-end ML lifecycle management including:
- Model training
- Evaluation
- Fine-tuning
- Labeling/tagging workflows
- Strong expertise in document AI and NLP pipelines including OCR, parsing, chunking, and extraction techniques.
- Experience implementing embeddings and semantic/vector search architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Vector Databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB, Weaviate, Milvus, or similar.
- Strong experience integrating ML systems with MongoDB.
- Experience building scalable and production-grade ML applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment models.
- Azure Cloud experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms, NLP, and Generative AI frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
- Knowledge of MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Experience with Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Strong software engineering mindset with focus on scalable and maintainable systems.
- Experience working in enterprise AI transformation initiatives.
