Job Summary
The client Applied AI & Discovery group is looking for a passionate and skilled engineer to work on a voice recognition system that millions of people use daily. The engineer will work on designing APIs, build and call microservices, build frameworks that are backbone of other microservices. Working closely with our Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) teams to come up with innovative solutions over a broad scope. Example domains include video, music, customer support and home automation. Example devices include TVs, Streaming devices, PCs, and phones.
Role Description
• As a software developer, you will work to add new features and improve existing features of the systems that support our content discovery experience. You will collaborate with developers in small, autonomous teams to build systems that are used by millions of people every day. You would be part of our rapidly growing Applied AI research and engineering team that is responsible for the full stack and operationalization of high-profile products and services at Comcast.
Core Responsibilities:
• Work as part of a team responsible for design, implementation and delivery of Gateway API, Frameworks, Control Plane and data pipelines that support our flagship products like Xfinity Voice Remote, Sky Voice Remote and the Xfinity Assistant.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain web services in a microservice architecture at a large-scale handling millions of requests per day.
• Serve as a technical liaison for internal and external customers and business partners.
• Mentor junior team members.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency with programming in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with Spring, JUnit, Maven, Git and the like.
• Experience with REST web services and Micro service frameworks like Spring Boot.
Nice to have:
• Experience with programming in Kotlin (preferred) and/or Python.
• Familiarity with Container Systems (Docker, Kubernetes), CICD tools (Jenkins), Cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda etc.), Splunk, Elastic Search etc.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization techniques and evaluation methodologies
