We are seeking a GCP Cloud Architect to support a high-impact digital transformation initiative modernizing a large-scale enterprise data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is ideal for a hands-on data engineering expert with deep GCP experience who can provide both strategic and technical leadership across the full data lifecycle.

Position Overview / Responsibilities:

•             Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using GCP services

•             Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and build end-to-end data solutions

•             Develop data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows using tools like Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, and Cloud Composer

•             Ensure high data quality, performance, and reliability across ETL/ELT processes and batch/streaming pipelines

•             Champion best practices for CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and version control across the data engineering lifecycle

•             Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal capability building within the cloud data practice

•             Support modernization efforts by migrating legacy systems to cloud-native GCP infrastructure

•             Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and actively contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives

Required Skills:

•             6+ years of professional data engineering experience

•             3+ years of hands-on development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

•             Expertise with GCP native tools: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Composer

•             Strong background in Python and SQL development for large-scale data pipelines

•             Experience designing and managing ELT/ETL workflows for high-volume data environments

•             Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) in cloud environments

•             Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Cloud Build)

•             Comfortable in Agile development environments with cross-functional teams

•             Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Preferred Qualifications:

•             GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification

•             Experience with data warehouse modernization or legacy-to-cloud migration initiatives

•             Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments

•             Knowledge of Airflow, dbt, or other workflow orchestration tools

•             Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or healthcare data domains
