Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant with AI / RAR

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (5 Days/Week Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
Employment Type: Contract
Experience Required: 8–10 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Finance modules, accounting processes, SAP implementations, and integration support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP FI/FI-CA configuration, business process analysis, testing, custom development coordination, and post go-live support.

Candidates with exposure to SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and AI-enabled finance transformation initiatives will be preferred.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of SAP FICO functional experience
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP FI / FI-CA experience
• Experience in 2–3 full lifecycle SAP FI implementations
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance business processes
• Experience working with business stakeholders, technical teams, and support organizations

• SAP Financial Accounting (FI)
• SAP FICO configuration
• FI-CA
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Financial closing processes
• SAP Finance integrations

Implementation / Functional Expertise

Experience with:

• Business requirement gathering
• Gap analysis
• Functional design documentation
• SAP configuration
• Functional specifications for custom developments
• Testing coordination
• Transport management
• Production deployment support
• Post go-live support

Accounting Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

• Procure-to-Pay (P2P) accounting flows
• Order-to-Cash / Sales & Distribution accounting flows
• Financial postings
• Revenue recognition
• Accounting entries and reconciliation processes

Integration / Interfaces

Experience with:

• SAP interfaces
• IDOCs
• BDC programs
• Data migration tools
• SAP master data management
• Integration troubleshooting

Testing / Methodologies

Strong understanding of:

• ASAP methodology
• Unit Testing
• Integration Testing
• Regression Testing
• Change Request (CR) processes
• End-to-end SAP implementation lifecycle

Communication / Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience presenting solutions to business stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in onsite client environments

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze finance business requirements and design SAP FI/FICO solutions
• Configure SAP Finance modules based on business needs
• Support end-to-end SAP FI implementation activities
• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments
• Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements and integrations
• Support testing activities including unit, integration, and regression testing
• Manage transports and production deployment activities
• Support post go-live issue resolution and production support
• Work on interfaces, IDOCs, and integration-related activities
• Collaborate with finance, business, and technical teams
• Support change management and enhancement requests

Nice to Have

• SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) experience (1–2 years preferred)
• Exposure to AI-driven finance transformation initiatives
• Prior experience in high-tech or software industry environments

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• MBA / CA preferred
